What is ISO 9001:2000?

What is ISO 9001:2000? The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization of Standardization. The ISO process strongly emphasizes the incorporation of quality standards in systems, procedures, documentation, and total employee involvement. To be certified to this standard, Relex Software Corporation implemented a quality management system covering the design, development, quality assurance, testing, and release procedures of our software products. The Relex QMS also incorporates the purchasing of materials and services and the delivery of the products and services to the customer.

With over 140 countries working in partnership, the International Organization for Standardization facilitates the international exchange of goods and services by promoting the development of standards that remove technical barriers for similar products. In addition to opening lucrative new international markets, ISO certification can benefit a business by:

  • Streamlining productivity and reducing wastes, which decreases production costs and increases profitability.
  • Improving product quality and reliability, which increases both customer satisfaction and product sales.
  • Boosting employee performance and productivity, which enhances job satisfaction and reduces employee turn-over.
