Streamline Your Work With Macros

Macros can be used to automate tedious or time-consuming tasks, such as importing or exporting a large number of data files, or finding and replacing a key word, phrase, or part number throughout a project file. The entire Relex software suite supports the use of macros, allowing you to put them to work in your Relex projects.

The macro editor included with Relex lets you use the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) language to create macros. You can also script the macros using a third-party application that supports OLE Automation. Browse through the Relex-supplied macros for a basic understanding of the syntax, or use them as points of departure for creating your own time-saving macros.

Some of the provided macros include:

• Calculate And Report - calculates the reliability prediction for the Sample Relex Project file over a range of temperatures and generates reports to rich text format files.
• Global Change - performs a global change of Quality Level for MIL-HDBK-217 capacitors in the Sample Relex Project file.
• Import - imports a sample bill of materials file to create a Relex Project file.
• Library - creates a new Library file, opens the new file, adds a part to the Library file, and displays the number of parts in the Library file.

The macro functionality built into Relex helps you automate labor-intensive or repetitive procedures, and streamline your reliability analyses.
